Contract Win Further Strengthens Northgate’s Reputation in the Utilities Sector
The Consumer Council for Water, which is the independent body representing water consumers in England and Wales, first appointed Northgate to manage its entire ICT resources in 2006, with the key objective of improving business processes.
The managed service provided by Northgate includes an ICT infrastructure that offers the organisation’s 88 staff across eight sites a flexible working solution through more efficient access to information. Transferring the hosting of all servers to Northgate’s data centre, and utilising their skilled technical support team, offers both flexible working and disaster recovery options to the Consumer Council for Water.
Tony Smith, Chief Executive of the Consumer Council for Water said: “Ultimately our priority is to ensure the consumers’ collective voice is heard and that their needs remain at the heart of water industry’s thinking. Northgate’s advice, support and service delivery has impacted on our entire operation, enabling our people to focus their time and efforts on the customer.”
The contract extension marks a significant development for Northgate, further enhancing its reputation within the utilities sector where it already provides services to a number of high profile organisations including Viridian, NI Water and Bord Gais.
Ed Brown, Managing Director, Utilities & Public Sector, Northgate Managed Services said:
“We are delighted to have been awarded this important contract extension which further consolidates our strength within the utilities sector. Having worked with the Consumer Council for Water from the outset, the partnership has evolved and grown with its ever changing business needs, and we look forward to furthering the cost saving and efficiency benefits which our services have delivered to date.”
