Northgate and RM to supply ICT to Liverpool's latest City Academy

Northgate; the leading supplier of managed services, and RM; the leading supplier of ICT hardware, software and service to UK education, today announced that they have teamed up once again to secure a major education contract. The contract will see them both delivering ICT services to the Academy of St. Francis of Assisi, in Liverpool, when it opens later this year.

The contract will see them both delivering ICT services to the Academy of St. Francis of Assisi, in Liverpool, when it opens later this year.
The Academy will have a bespoke, state-of-the-art ICT system, including the award-winning Kaleidos virtual teaching and learning environment, and CC3, a network system designed specifically for schools. The ICT provision in the Academy will provide the teachers and learners with the very latest in transformational ICT with which to raise standards, motivation and attainment.
Northgate and RM will provide the St. Francis of Assisi Academy with a service which is aimed at:
enhancing pupils' learning potential through software which increases motivation;
allowing teachers to focus on the business of teaching by freeing up valuable time and reducing administrative pressures;
promoting classroom efficiency and organisational security by allowing members of staff secure access to information on pupils, wherever they are based;
and maximising strong leadership and effective performance by enabling senior managers real-time access to strategic data and information.
The contract for ICT equipment, services and support, worth £0.9 million, was awarded to Northgate and RM in October following procurement through GCAT.
