Northgate Managed Services exhibits at NHS Scotland Event

On August 23rd and 24th, Northgate Managed Services is exhibiting at Stand No.42 at the NHS Scotland Quality in Action Event, at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow.
Together with their partners, Northgate will be demonstrating the latest healthcare and industry ICT services and solutions that support patient focused health services.
As one of the leading health events in Scotland, It provides an opportunity for individuals working in, and with, NHS Scotland to consider and discuss some of the important challenges and opportunities for health now and in the future. The 2011 event will be showcasing the successes NHS Scotland has had in improving sustainable quality of healthcare in Scotland and share examples of best practice in quality.
As part of this, Martin Egan, Director of eHealth at NHS Lothian, will be presenting a session "Nearly The Holy Grail - Clinical Portals For Faster, Better and Borderless Care". This session explores the piloting of a clinical portal giving clinicians across NHS Lothian, NHS Fife, NHS Borders, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, instant electronic access to patient data in order to deliver better, faster care. The session examines what the portal provided, how it was assessed, how the system was set up across four NHS Boards and how it is being rolled-out. The portal solution is based on technology from Carefx who is working in partnership with Northgate to deploy and support the system.
