Northgate Managed Services expands into new offices at Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey

16 March 2011

Leading IT service and solutions provider, Northgate Managed Services is spreading its wings – and moving into a new sales office in Newtownabbey.

Thanks to the success of its growth and expansion programme, the company will be relocating 80 of its key staff to the new sales office in nearby Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey Borough Council's civic headquarters. Committing to Newtownabbey as a location, Northgate is the first commercial organisation to lease office space in the historic Mossley Mill site, which the Council has imaginatively regenerated into a vibrant location for business and leisure.
The move comes on the back of a number of significant contract wins by the company, many of which receive vital support and back-up services from Northgate's near- shore delivery centre which will continue to be located in its current Newtownabbey base.

Highlighting why this is such a positive development for Northgate, its staff and its customers, Chief Executive, Andy Ross said.
"We are continuing to grow despite the economic climate, and we have ambitious growth plans for the future. Moving our sales teams to Mossley Mill allows us to continue to expand our delivery function at our existing office. We are committed to the Newtownabbey area and to providing a wide range of opportunities for employment, from apprenticeships for school leavers , to graduates and experienced highly skilled ICT staff.

"It's been particularly pleasing to work in partnership with our local Council to facilitate our new office requirements. It's also highly appropriate to be located in such an historic site which has obviously played an important role in our industrial past and which now offers the convenience and high standard of facilities required to support economic growth today.

Welcoming Northgate to Mossley Mill, Mayor of Newtownabbey, Alderman Paula Bradley added:
"Northgate Managed Services is one of the Borough's main employers and it is very appropriate that they have chosen to relocate some of their staff to the regenerated former flax spinning mill. It too in its day was one of the area's main employers.

The Company's presence here will bring even more vitality and energy to Mossley Mill and complement the existing facilities on site. The Council's civic offices, the Theatre at the Mill, the recently completed museum and the impressive conferencing facilities all blend together to make this a very unique and inspiring location .

We hope this relationship will develop into a partnership that will benefit both Northgate Managed Services and Newtownabbey Borough Council and we look forward to sharing experiences and ideas to the benefit of the whole community."
