Northgate CSR Campaign is ‘Good as Gold’

Northgate CSR Campaign is ‘Good as Gold’

26 October 2010

Business of the Year Northgate Managed Services continued its 2010 run of success after being awarded gold for its Corporate Social Responsibility campaign ‘Act Now’, in partnership with PR company Morrow Communications at the annual CIPR awards.

'Act Now' is a programme that encourages each employee to believe they can do something now, however small, to help deliver value and build sustainable and healthy communities and focuses on two core areas; community and people.

Over the year, Northgate employees have embarked on a range of activities involving local partners such as schools or organisations on a cross community basis. This has included naming St Mary's Star of the Sea as its 'adopted' school and volunteering at NI's Children's Hospice, all of which have formed the basis of a targeted media relations campaign led by Morrow Communications.

Speaking after the awards, Eleanor Lee, head of marketing, Northgate Managed Services said:
"We are absolutely delighted that the 'Act Now' campaign has been recognised by industry experts and awarded gold at tonight's event. At Northgate, we pride ourselves on our commitment to CSR and encourage our employees to give something back to the local communities in which we work.

"Much of the success of this campaign is down to our employees, who have given their time and effort to various activities throughout the year, and so, it is with pleasure that I accept the award on their behalf. Thanks must also go to the team at Morrow Communications, who consistently strive to promote our successes and ensure widespread recognition of our CSR strategy. This is a fantastic accolade for our company, our policies and our people."
