Organised by Kent schools, in association with Kent County Council and supported by leading provider of ICT services and solutions, Northgate Managed Services (www.northgate-is.com/managedservices), this free two-day event kicks off with a guided tour around three exemplary institutions: Dane Court Grammar School in Broadstairs, Ifield School in Gravesend and the host school, Hugh Christie Technology College in Tonbridge. Attendees will select their preferred institution to be taken on a half-day tour and showcase of the school's technology and learning initiatives. For example, visitors to Hugh Christie will learn about the school's 'Real Learning Programme' and how the school uses Northgate's expertise to maximise its ICT efficiency and offer students the best education using technology. At District Special School, Ifield, visitors will see how the latest technologies are helping to transform teaching and learning for students with physical, sensory and learning needs.

On day two, a full-day conference and exhibition will be opened by Professor Stephen Heppell of Bournemouth University, attributed as 'the most influential academic of recent years in the field of technology and education.'* Covering the themes of innovation with ICT, personalised learning and change management, the conference will encompass an exciting range of school presentations from primary, secondary and academy leaders, providing deep insight into the strategies Kent schools are using to achieve educational excellence. Attendees will also get hands-on ICT experience in the exhibition area where they will have the opportunity to meet a selection of technology partners.
