Building Schools for the Future

Northgate is currently helping to build schools for the future in Bristol, Kent, Leicester and Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton as part of the Building Schools for the Future & Academies programs; delivering a managed service and N-able managed learning environment to schools in these 4 local authorities.

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is the government's secondary school renewal programme which aims to provide educational facilities fit for the 21st century. It is designed to bring about transformational changes in the physical school environment and to support new ways of teaching and learning. The scale of BSF enables local authorities to move from patch and mend spending on schools to rebuild and renewal, with a more strategic approach to funding, design, procurement and management of buildings. The key component that links buildings with teaching and learning is ICT.

Northgate is also working with Academies and one school BSF Pathfinder projects across England including Trent Valley Academy in Gainsborough, Bristol Cathedral Choir School in Bristol, Havelock Academy in Grimsby and Litherland High School and Abraham Guest High School, one school BSF Pathfinder projects schools in Sefton and Wigan.
